The inaugural Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs) took place on February 15, 2015, at the historic Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, celebrating the unsung heroes behind the glamour of film, television, and red carpet events. The ceremony, hosted by radio personality Lisa Stanley, honored makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers, and other beauty professionals whose artistry shapes the public personas of celebrities.

Among the evening's distinguished presenters were Academy Award-winning actress Jane Fonda and Sir Patrick Stewart.

Jane Fonda presented the Outstanding Achievement in Makeup award to Bernadine M. Anderson, recognized as the first African-American woman to break into the Local 706 makeup artists union. Their reunion was particularly poignant, as Fonda and Anderson had collaborated on multiple award-winning films over an eight-year period.

Sir Patrick Stewart honored makeup artist Michael Westmore, renowned for his work on the "Star Trek" franchise, acknowledging his significant contributions to the industry.

The ceremony also featured heartfelt moments, such as actress Jenifer Lewis delivering an impromptu rendition of "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" in tribute to hairstyling honoree Julia L. Walker, with whom she had worked on films like "Sister Act" and "The Temptations." Actress Bai Ling presented the Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling award to Martin Samuel, known for his work on "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Evita." Additionally, actress Morgan Fairchild honored photographer Harry Langdon with the Outstanding Achievement in Photography award, recognizing his extensive portfolio capturing Hollywood's elite.

Special awards were also presented during the evening. Singer Tommy Roe awarded the Timeless Beauty Award to Barbara Eden, celebrated for her iconic role in "I Dream of Jeannie." Actors Greg Finley and Graham Patrick Martin presented the New Beauty Award to emerging talents Meagan Tandy, Virginia Gardner, and Constance Wu, acknowledging their rising influence in the entertainment industry.

In the competitive categories, several professionals were recognized for their exceptional work. Autumn Moultrie received the Bernadine M. Anderson Award for Makeup, while both Thuy Pham and Gregory Arlt were honored with the Michael Westmore Award for Makeup. Marcia Hamilton earned the Julia L. Walker Award for Hairstyling, and Lea Journo was awarded the Martin Samuel Award for Hairstyling. Emmanuelle Choussy took home the Harry Langdon Award for Photography.
